I may be wrong... but I think Thorn is asking about the new Monkeywrench album. The new album is in the can as it were and ready to go but according to Touch & Go in the US (who are doing the distro. for Estrus) there are issues with the artwork. That may be record company speak for 'we don't want to put it out at the same time as the Mudhoney album'. Makes sense to me! Either way it's not coming out for a while sadly. It's been finished for a bit so I guess we can all wait a little longer As for the bootleg. I have a copy. It's on translucent vinyl. I think I've played it all of once!!! How sad is that.. Never seen or heard of another coloured pressing - but thats to say one doesn't exist I like the 'Wrench. Bottle Up And Go... what a great track. Saw them play live at the Borderline in London, spring of 2000. They were mighty fine!! It is indeed very sad that Tom Price is ill.

from www.mudhoney.net : "Dave Crider says Estrus won't be releasing any records for the first two quarters of 2006, so [the new Monkeywrench album] won't be released until July at least." apparently the artwork is not the real problem?

It's a bloody bootleg.Who cares. actually, it is an "official" bootleg. it was put together by the band (i think it was tim). it was definitely some kinda joke (monkeywrench live at webley!), but still a "real" album.

Not that "official" sound quality. I wish I saw them play in London at the Borderline. Did anyone saw them there?

Yup I went to one of the two Monkeywrench shows at the Borderline.
I think it was around Easter 2000. My memories are of going on my own, queuing to get in really early, the place being rammed and the show being amazing! The Borderline is quite small so the band were just hanging out in the wee bit out the back by the loos. I wanted to go say hi to Steve but being a shy and retiring fella not having the guts to approach him!! Probably for the better anyway. I remember Mark coming in late and looking peeved to have missed the supports as he was with Everett True and getting interviewed I suppose. Tim Kerr was INCREDIBLE. One of the most insane guitarists I've ever seen. He would hand the guitar too the front row to strum songs as they were going on! PUNK ROCK INCLUSIVENESS!! I had a strum..... it was ace ;D The band were all in their Electric Children garb. All suits and waistcoats and hipster trousers. At one point one over zealous mosher caught the attention of security who proceeded to attempt to extract the dude from the venue. Mr Arm, sans guitar of course, leapt from the stage to remonstrate (peaceably mind) and the dude was allowed to stay. RIGHT ON!! Great great show. I'm sure there's a set list doing the rounds on Pete's site.
