Being played on MTV and pop radios around the world seemed like a good idea so they decided to cover their albums with gloss but yet let people be convinced that they "rock" and are "so heavy". God they piss me off so much now.
Dave what happened to you?

One of the most boring bands around, together with the Peppers.

I think it has a lot to do with Dave trying so hard not to sound like Nirvana

We all have a bias towards them in the first place. We only continue to buy their records, because Dave used to be in Nirvana, lol. I love Nirvana to death, but I didn't buy In Your Honor. There's about 2 good songs on the record. DOA is good, but wtf is Resolve meant to accomplish? "Oh we write middle of the road ballads now" Also, it seems to be Dave doesn't like to keep his connections with Seattle and all the stuff like that (apart from Mendel being from Seattle), why, for god's sake instead of touring with Motorhead and QOTSA, who don't need the extra publicity, why doesn't he take some bands like Sonic Youth with him? God I love the Grohlmeister, and I'm really influenced by him (I'm recording a solo album where I play guitar bass drums and shit) but sometimes it seems as if his trying too hard to get away from Nirvana and grunge. Bastard. Oh I hate Radio 1 too. I never listen to it. BBC 6 is pretty cool sometimes.

thats right, he is kinda he doesnt want to be in touch with the seattle/american scene, except for Krist Novoselic, but he could take on tour Mudhoney or Dinosaur Jr, to let know the audiences where all its coming from.
Pearl Jam has better support acts over the years, Sonic Youth, Frank Black, Sleater-Kinney, Supersuckers, Mudhoney etc etc etc ...
what a shame Dave Grohl.
