For those who like Nebula, check out Earthless. They are a three-piece with the guitar player from Nebula and released an album last year. The album consists of two songs only, or should I say jams? Both songs top the length of twenty minutes and could be described as fuzzy stoner with lots of solos. Really, go check it out. I went out lunchtime to the local Rough Trade Record shop in Portobello Road in London near where I work and bought the Earthless 'Sonic Prayer' CD on Gravity records from last year. It's amazing! 2 tracks!! WOW man! Thanks for the heads up on this. Aye its Isaiah who was the touring bassist from Nebula around the time of the last album. So not Eddie. I tried playing it at work - but my co-dudes asked me to take it off after 5 minutes! So it must be good!!

Ah alright, I don't know any names. So have you played it yet? I'm sure you'll love it. I love the sound of the guitar. I've also been listening to The Heads a lot lately for the very same reason.

Yeah - even though I only got 15 minutes in - its pretty amazing!!! Isaiah is a really nice guy, met/interviewd him at the last Nebula show I went to. Perfect gentlemen - handed me a beer from the stage ;D (which I promptly dropped on the floor....what a numpty I am). They're like a jammed out instrumental Nebula meets Comets On Fire. I've picked up the new Heads album..... it's good. Probably my favourite record by them. More keyboards/gurgling moog like bits on the new one.

Being a good friend of Ian McCulloch of Echo & the Bunnymen and a musician himself, Julian Cope was a well-known person in the post-punk scene of the late 70s and early 80s. I don't know his bands though. The first time I heard of him was when I had heard White One by Sunn 0))), which features Julian Cope. After that I started checking him out and found out he has an excellent taste in music too by reading his reviews.

Teardrop Explodes - Mr Copes 1st band were great!!! Copey is a genius and possibly along with Mr Stephen Fry the greatest living Englishman. He is a fruitcake but a GREAT MAN. A renaissance man to boot. A musician, writer, a GURU! Check out his book(s) Head On/Repossessed: www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0007197756/qid=1144683007/sr=2-1/ref=sr_2_3_1/203-5634655-8355914possibly the greatest book ever written about being in a band. He is an expert on ancient and Megalithic sites and has published 2 books on the subject. His music is patchy but when he gets it right.... check out Kilimanjaro, Fried, Peggy Suicide and Autogeddon. Saw him last year. Supported by Comets On Fire. Very good indeed.
