I asked Steve at the record release show on how they were able to get that line-up of the flesheaters to get back together and do the show. He was very excited about it. He said, all they did was ask, and were shocked that in fact they would actually do that. I wish I could be there, its going to be a great day.
Jon Wahl's old band Clawhammer was great, I am anxious to hear what he has got going now. On the KEXP radio show, Steve also said Holly Golightly would be playing. Not sure if that is true or not now. I have never seen Comets on Fire, but I hear they have a great live show. If its anything like their albums, should be super.

So the next 7 days. Pretty busy! Aside from having tickets (ok ok being on the guestlist  for both the Black Mountain show at Koko and the Vetiver show at 93 Feet East (London town) on Wednesday we got Mudhoney and supporting cast at Shep Bush on Thursday then a weekend ATP!!! So Thurston and Yoo Doo Right are over/down for the shows I know. Anyone else gonna be grabbing a beer (quickly so as not to miss Comets On Fire) at the O'Neils pub on the corner on Thursday? Pretty good chance to say hi. It seems crazy these shows have been on the cards for ages and now.... I'm kind of excited! Bit worried about the infamous chalets at ATP as well. So who's up for it? |
