Hey man The band I was in were Hey Colossus www.heycolossus.com/I quit them about 6 months ago - due to differences over what to wear on stage  Actually I was a bit knackered and after 3 years fancied a change. They're a great band though. We got together basically to play a cover of 'The Money Will Roll Right In' in a sludgy doom style and it rolled from there to 70+ gigs, 2 albums and a bunch of singles/comps and stuff. I think they've even done t shirts now! Check 'em out! I'm now working on my solo project Poachers Cap - which is a solo psychedelic - folk - fuzz - blues thang. Think 6 Organs Of Admittance meets..... Mudhoney!! I'm also moonlighting in Econoline: www.myspace.com/econolinewhich features a dude called Ian who was in Hey Colossus with me. He left at same time. Much more melodic kinda Superchunk/Dinosaur sounding stuff. I'm just sorta helping out really on the tubs. Playing next Tuesday in London at the Vibe bar in Brick Lane supporting a buch of chaps called the Last of The Hard Men. Mudhoney gear talk - yeah! I'm listening to My Brother The Cow at the moment. One kinda forgets just how incredible that album is. I like the photo of Steve jumping with his Hagstrom. Hagstroms. Mudhoney. I'm on the look out for a cheap Hagstrom or Mustang but jesus prices have gone mental even for the Futuramas...anyways.. |

Yes Stone!-a nice black Hagstrom 3 with matching black pickguard sounds pretty...that or a daphne blue Mustang. Gorgeous.

I would dearly love to get a Daphne Blue Mustang... When I was scouting around for pedals at the weekend the shop which had a 2nd hand Trex Mudhoney had one for sale. Looked like a '66/67. Plenty of dings which doesn't bother me but some doofus had popped a humbucker in the bridge. Didn't have a price on it - but I was still tempted! Could change the pickguard and get a new Mustang pick up I suppose. I wonder what happened to Stevie Turners original Daphne blue Mustang? It's not t the EMP museum is it? Has anyone on this board been to that exhibition. Didn't Steve donate some pedals? I know J Mascis' original sunburst Fender Jazzmaster was in there. Not sure it still is. I know Mark totalled his lovely blue Hagstrom pretty early on so thats dead and gone. There needs to be a Mudhoney gear museum  Perhaps not.... |

Did someone say mustang? Great guitars! mine in almost a Daphne blue Mustang its pretty much the same on cobain played on live n loud sept he has diffrent pickups to the one i had and no i didnt buy it cause kurt had one it was weird actually,I found a shop here in wales with 2 mustangs both the same models but diffrent colour the other one was red and like £100 more so fuck that i got the other one,But my the are nice guitars.
