I wouldn't trade my 66 Jazz for a J sig one - I was thinking of just trading it in (some days I love it - some days I dig my crap Squier tele more...) - or just selling it to raise some cash I'm not 100% sure I'll do it though. I have a list as long as my arm of musical equipment I want (ludwig vistalite kit, paiste cymbals, Daphne Blue Mustang, 8 track blah blah blah) so....needs must. Yes thats me over on the Dino board - and yes I've seen the post about Fender not knowing about the sig series thing - and yes there is one coming. I have my 'sources' One of which (and there's more than one) is that a friend served J 6 months ago in a guitar store in London (he was cool and bought a bunch of pedals) and he talked about how in 2007 his sig. Jazzer was gonna be available. So - straight from the horses mouth It's gonna happen - watch this space.

It's a black refin with non original scratchplate and trem. I bought it a year ago for £900. If I got it refined (a good refin job) back to it's original sunburst and made it look much much sexier I may at a stretch get £1500 for it..... But I don't have the £300 spare to do that at the moment.

Hey there. Do you mean when he's playing live or when he's recording? I very much doubt he has a set of mics he carries around with him. They've used 4/5 different engineers/producer over last few albums and recorded at different studios - I would guess each studio provides their own unique mics for recording.....dunno whether he would carry his own set of mics around for tours either. They usually hire in drums abroad/on long tours as it's cheaper than taking a drum set around on planes etc.... I'm a drummer and it's not something that would bother me - what make or brand the drum mics. But thats just me
